I was raised by my grandmother in small town Ontario during the 1960's and 70's. Money was tight and stylish boutiques were non-existent. Recycling was just a way of life. Doris taught me to sew and I made, or, altered most of my clothes during those teenage years . I was known as the girl who painted her own t-shirts and was always on trend. Still creating for myself , my designs reflect past and present , easy to wear , classic, ageless and a bit of edge.
My passion is recycling. It's all just fabric, whether in a former life it was a piece of clothing, bedding, drape , or tablecloth. As long as it's a natural fiber and good quality, I can use it. My other passion is searching for those fabrics in charity shops. I feel good about supporting charities that do great work in the community and am proud that I am doing my part to keep textiles out of the landfill.
I do add new fabric cashmere wraps , pashmina kimonos and hemp lounge pants , to my collections. Natural fibers, eco responsible. Always comfortable , easy to wear , easy to care for.
